How to Change an Author in WordPress

Technically speaking it is really easy to make the changes. If an author has left your business and you’re looking to do it in bulk, just removing the user from your website is a great way to do this. It is quick, simple and when the author has been moved, all their content will be shifted to the next author.

Changing the author when you don’t want to do this is just as simple. You can do this manually one blog post at a time.

To do this all you need to do is to log into your WordPress website and then you can click on the ‘Posts’ tab. Then you can use the filter section at the top of the page to find the posts from the author that you wish to re-assign posts from.

Find the posts that you wish to re-assign. After all, you might want to keep some posts with the original author if they deserve the credit for the work.

From this section, you can then click on the ‘Quick Edit’ to reassign all the posts that you want. Within the ‘Quick Edit’ options there is an Author box that you can click on the dropdown menu to click on the author that you wish to credit with the article.

When you are done you can click on the ‘Save’ option.
